Roger Barnhart
Founder
Roger Barnhart
Roger Barnhart started Barnhart Bolt on October 8, 1993. By this time, he had been working in the fastener industry for almost 20 years. Roger started his career in fasteners in 1974. After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Airforce, he went to work for a stud bolt manufacturer in his hometown of Beaumont, TX. When he was hired, his job was to keep raw material located at threading machines and to clean the machining areas. Not long after he started, he was trained to run the machines himself. Roger is extremely mechanically inclined. He and his brother built their first car when he was 15 years old. It didn’t take him long to figure that he could manipulate the machines that cut the raw material. Soon Roger was cutting material at almost twice the rate of the other employees.
Roger worked at two other fastener suppliers in the Midland/Odessa area after moving to West Texas in 1976. One of which he managed and one of which he was a partner. But he knew he wanted to make a move on his own. He wanted to do things his way and he wanted to build a family-owned company with a family-owned feel. Roger’s work ethic brought him to where he is today. It built this company. Do it faster, do it better, work harder. That attitude is the foundation of Barnhart Bolt and still thrives is this company today. Roger is a legend in the Permian Basin. In the almost 50 years he has been selling fasteners in West Texas, he has made many friends with customers he has served and team members he has employed. He treats everyone as family and greets everyone with a hug and a smile.

Roger has no plans to retire. Coming to work every day and visiting with his employees and customers is what he lives for. While he is not at work, Roger enjoys spending time with family. He has 2 sons and 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Dax Barnhart
President/CEO
Dax Barnhart
Dax Barnhart began his career with Barnhart Bolt in December of 1993 shortly after graduating from Robert E Lee high school in Tyler, TX. He was 19 years old when he packed up everything he owned and drove to West Texas to join his father, Roger Barnhart, in a small, rented warehouse on 87th Street in Odessa, to begin the journey of what has become a thriving, family-owned business. When presented with the chance to start a new business with his father, Dax jumped at the opportunity, naively believing that owning your own business meant instant financial freedom. He would soon discover, however, that could not be further from the truth. Dax learned quickly that the only things starting a new business guaranteed were debt, meager earnings, early mornings & late nights, sacrificing time with family and friends, and lots of hard work. On the other hand, the benefit of starting fresh is the opportunity to learn every aspect of the business from the ground up. And that’s exactly what Dax did. Building on the experience, contacts, and foundation that his father started, Dax has been instrumental in the growth and expansion of what Barnhart Bolt has become today. In January of 2023, Dax became the President and CEO of the corporation.
Dax enjoys traveling, mountain biking, wake surfing, snowboarding, playing golf, hunting, and flying. He received his Private Pilot license in November 2011 and earned his Instrument Rating in May 2016. Dax has a beautiful daughter named Hannah that lives in Austin and a son, Aaron Barnhart, who is the VP of Barnhart Bolt.

Aaron Barnhart
Vice President
Aaron Barnhart
Aaron Barnhart officially began his career with Barnhart Bolt the Monday after he graduated from Permian High School in June of 2012. However, to say he grew up at Barnhart Bolt is not an exaggeration. Barnhart opened for business in October of 1993 and Aaron was born in January of 1994. He was helping put nuts on U-bolts as young as 6 years old. As he grew up, Aaron spent many summer days in the shop helping sweep, take out the trash, count out bolts, and “nutting up” U-bolts & studs while learning all about the fastener industry. His father, Dax Barnhart, has been teaching him how to do things the “Barnhart Way” since he was old enough to walk. Aaron continues the tradition that his grandfather, Roger Barnhart, started. He is the 3rd generation Barnhart to help grow the family business. While not at work, Aaron loves to spend time outdoors with his family and his pups. Hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hunting, mountain biking, camping, working out, and traveling are just a few of his hobbies. Aaron has 1 son, Nixin Barnhart. Nixin is 7 and is currently learning how to put nuts on U-bolts.
